I’m Going to Get Rich

Sharing my journey to getting all the freedom I want

In a couple of years — if we ever defeat COVID-19 — I want to travel. Like the basic Millennial […] I am. But how will I travel if I am at all times dependent on my job? I can’t just quit my job — that’s my only source of income. — How to Get Rich. Fast. Effortlessly.

So, I want to travel, which requires two things: money and freedom. I already wrote an article on easy ways to make money based on research and personal experience. So if you’re interested in my theories behind everything on this page, you should read that article first.

To make things easy for me, I am going to keep track of the progress right here.

The plan

The goal

My goal is to create multiple income streams that will give me the freedom I want and the money I need to live. I don’t plan on quitting my day job, but if this plan allowed me to take an extended break to travel, that would be amazing. During my travel, I would still want to have an income, so I don’t have to use much of my savings.

Rules

1. Stability. — I never want to have to dip into my savings.
2. Fun. — If I can’t get joy out of what I’m doing, then what’s the point?
3. Morally correct. — Basically, if I have to be like Jeff Bezos, then never mind.

To do

I will need a passive income (work once, get paid forever) and support that with an active income (get paid for the hours you work).

Invest —I actually started investing last year! However, I don’t yet see it as a passive income. I haven’t invested enough to get a steady income out of it, unfortunately. After Covid-19 — when I’m more confident about the stock market — you can bet I will transfer half my savings to actually make some money!

1. Don’t limit yourself too early on.
2. Don’t be scared of judgement / failure / to try. Just do it.
3. Investing is hella scary!
